The Humboldt Builders’ Exchange is thrilled to report that Trades Day 2026 was a tremendous success, bringing together students, educators, and industry professionals for a hands-on look at careers in the building trades.
Held at Redwood Acres Fairgrounds, this year’s event welcomed hundreds of local high school students who had the opportunity to engage directly with contractors, unions, suppliers, and training programs from across Humboldt County.
From welding demonstrations and heavy equipment displays to interactive booths and career conversations, students experienced firsthand the wide range of opportunities available in the trades. The energy in the building was constant—curiosity, enthusiasm, and real connections being made at every turn.
This event would not have been possible without the incredible support of our exhibitors, sponsors, volunteers, and partners, including the Humboldt County Office of Education. Their commitment to investing in the next generation of builders is what makes Trades Day such a meaningful and impactful event.
We are especially proud of the way our industry showed up—not just to showcase careers, but to mentor, encourage, and inspire.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this one of our best Trades Days yet.
