Humboldt Builders’ Exchange was delighted to welcome Letitia Hanke for an inspiring mixer and school visits that brought her story to more than 200 students at Arcata High School, Eureka High School, and Zoe Barnum High School.
Our Thursday evening mixer at the Adorni Center drew a small but enthusiastic group of women working in the trades and related industries. What the gathering lacked in numbers, it made up for in energy, conversation, and connection. Letitia’s journey from having no trades experience to becoming CEO of ARS Roofing and Gutters resonated with those in attendance.
On Friday, Letitia shared her story with local students, encouraging them to explore careers in the trades. Nearly 20 expressed interest in her NextGen Trades Academy—an exciting response that could open doors to new opportunities here in Humboldt County.
Humboldt Builders’ Exchange and the Humboldt County Office of Education will keep you posted as we explore what comes next. Thank you, Letitia, for sharing your experience, enthusiasm, and belief in the next generation!
