Humboldt Builders Exchange & George Petersen Insurance Host Successful 2026 Safety Expo

The 2026 Safety Expo, hosted by the Humboldt Builders Exchange in partnership with George Petersen Insurance, brought together construction professionals, safety leaders, and industry partners for a high-energy and highly practical morning focused on keeping our workforce safe and informed.

Held in an engaging and collaborative atmosphere, this year’s Expo delivered both powerful presentations and hands-on opportunities for members to connect directly with safety experts and service providers.

Leading the morning’s program were dynamic presenters Larry Richmond Jr. of Mill Creek Safety and George from Safety by George, who kept the room energized with interactive demonstrations, real-world examples, and actionable safety strategies. Their engaging delivery ensured attendees walked away not just informed, but equipped with tools they can immediately implement on job sites across Humboldt County.

In addition to the presentations, attendees had the opportunity to connect with industry representatives offering the latest resources and compliance updates:

Shelby Patton, Sunbelt Rentals

Chester Chow, State Fund

Alison and Oni, On-Site Health and Safety

These tabling partners provided members with up-to-date information on equipment, insurance, workplace health services, and evolving safety requirements—helping businesses stay proactive rather than reactive.

The Expo once again demonstrated the power of collaboration within the trades community. By bringing together insurers, safety professionals, rental providers, and health experts under one roof, the Humboldt Builders Exchange continues to strengthen the region’s commitment to workplace safety and workforce development.

Events like the Safety Expo are more than networking opportunities—they are investments in the long-term health, stability, and professionalism of our local construction industry.

The Humboldt Builders Exchange extends its sincere thanks to George Petersen Insurance, our presenters, and all participating partners and members who made the 2026 Safety Expo such a success.
