Get ready for HBE’s annual Prevailing Wage Seminar with nationally recognized prevailing-wage authority Deborah Wilder!

This full-day seminar will help contractors better understand the complicated requirements involved in public works and prevailing-wage projects. Topics may include:

• California and federal prevailing-wage requirements
• Certified payroll and common reporting mistakes
• Contractor and subcontractor registration
• Apprenticeship and training-contribution requirements
• Selecting the correct wage determination
• Davis-Bacon requirements for federally funded projects
• Travel, subsistence and shift-pay requirements
• Audits, penalties and enforcement

A lunch break is included in the day. This year’s buffet features a build-your-own salad bar, along with entrées such as sliced tri-tip with Pinot Noir forest mushroom sauce and sautéed Marsala chicken. Vegetarian options will also be available. Coffee, tea and other beverages are included.

Lori DeVoist, HBE Board Treasurer and an ABC board member, will also be available to answer questions about ABC membership and the Skilled and Trained Workforce requirements.
