Join the Humboldt Builders' Exchange Women in Construction Committee for a hands-on Women's Handgun Safety Class at the Redwood Gun Club. This welcoming class is designed specifically for women, whether you're a first-time shooter or looking to build confidence and improve your firearm safety skills.
Experienced instructors will cover the fundamentals of safe handgun handling, firearm operation, loading and unloading procedures, and supervised live-fire practice in a supportive, no-pressure environment. You do not need to own a handgun to participate—a firearm will be available for use during the class if needed.
What to Bring:
Eye protection
Hearing protection (over-the-ear protection is recommended)
Closed-toe shoes
If you own a handgun and wish to use it, bring it unloaded with the appropriate ammunition.
Whether your goal is personal safety, learning a new skill, or becoming more comfortable around firearms, this class offers a safe and encouraging place to start.
